A few weeks ago, I received an email from a young fan of The World Keepers series. (read more)
This is what it said:
"Hi my name's Scott, I'm 10 years old and I really enjoy The World Keepers books! I'm an (unofficial because I don't put my books on sale) author. I have a group of friends on Roblox called the Impractical Robloxians. There are 4 friends of mine in that group. Their names' are Breah, Zach, Trey, Jake, and then me, the leader. A while ago I decided to write a book about me and my friends playing a game when we suddenly get sucked in. We go through this game, trying to find a way out. Sound familiar? That's because I made an unofficial (because I'm not selling it) spinoff book of The World Keepers called Impractical Robloxians: Murder Mystery. Now I know this seems a little far stretched, but I was wondering if maybe... you would like a copy? If not, I understand, you're a busy author trying to make quality books. Thank you so much if you read this, (you're my favorite author xD) and have a happy holiday! (The time I sent this is around the holidays) - Scott"
Of course I responded right away, I mean, how cool!
"Hi Scott! Thanks for the awesome email. I'm so glad you're enjoying the books, and I love that you took the time to tell me about it. I also love that you're writing. I bet your book is amazing, and of course I'd love to read it! Can you send a copy here, a PDF or MOBI? Really you can send whatever format you have, and I can convert it if I need to. Also, you should publish your book! I bet if you and your friends love it, other people will love it, too.
Scott did send the book, and I did read it. I loved it! He wrote a fan fiction book about my fan fiction book, and it was awesome!
I loved his take on how the beacons work, The Company, and I really loved how he was saved in the end, though I won't spoil it for you.
After I read it, I got back to him and asked if he'd like to share it. He replied yesterday and told me that he'd love to!
Scott, if you read this, I'm so excited that you let me share your story. And, I really hope you keep on writing!!
To those of you who aren't Scott, I hope you enjoy his story. And, if you read it and have a moment, leave him a comment here letting him know how much you liked it!
Maybe we can get him to write a sequel.
Without further ado, here you go: Impractical Robloxians: Murder Mystery, written by Scott.
