Ten Fun Valentine's Day Books For Kids

They get sweets and junk food on a fairly regular basis. I'm female, so there's ALWAYS chocolate in the house, and chances are, if I buy them giant heart shaped boxes of candy, they're going to plow through it in two hours anyway.

My kids, not my husband. It would take him at least a couple of days.

So mostly, I don't bother with Valentines Day, except with books! I do love buying Valentines Day books. This year, I added to our collection by grabbing a joke book and ANOTHER "Mouse" book, you'll see both on here.

Whether you're a buyer of candy, a giver of hugs, or a mostly forgetful mom, like me, I hope your kids enjoy these Valentines favorites.

My kids love Pete the Cat, so this book had to be on the list.

Pete doesn't think Valentines Day is cool, but then he realizes just how many special cats there are in his life. He gets into the spirit and makes Valentines for everyone, everyone except one special cat he forgot.

If you gave a mom a dollar for every book she had by Laura Numeroff, she'd spend those dollars on more books by Laura Numeroff.

If you haven't read these books, you are missing out. We have read If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, If You Take A Mouse To The Movies, If You Give A Pig A Party, If You Give A Moose A Muffin, and so many others SO many times, they're starting to fray on the edges.
