Mom truth here. I don't normally do much for Valentines Day for my kids (or my husband). (read more)
They get sweets and junk food on a fairly regular basis. I'm female, so there's ALWAYS chocolate in the house, and chances are, if I buy them giant heart shaped boxes of candy, they're going to plow through it in two hours anyway.
My kids, not my husband. It would take him at least a couple of days. So mostly, I don't bother with Valentines Day, except with books! I do love buying Valentines Day books. This year, I added to our collection by grabbing a joke book and ANOTHER "Mouse" book, you'll see both on here. Whether you're a buyer of candy, a giver of hugs, or a mostly forgetful mom, like me, I hope your kids enjoy these Valentines favorites. A CRANKENSTEIN VALENTINE
Can a little monster find some love in his heart on Valentines Day? Find out in this 40 page book. It's perfect for young readers who love to curl up on your lap for a little co-reading time, or for older readers who are comfortable sounding out words and want to read on their own.
