We celebrated Easter a bit early! Mom fail here, I don't normally celebrate Easter. I skip quite a few holidays, Easter, Halloween (normally), Valentines Day, etc. Basically it's birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas, that's about it. This year, though, we did it! I rented a bounce house, had my mom, niece and great nieces over, and we went all out. We decorated cookies, decorated cupcakes, hunted eggs and wore everyone out by 4 p.m. It was glorious.
I have begun working on Book 9, so fear not! You'll be back with the kids in no time! Or at least by May. I've got a big family vacation in May, so my goal is to have book 9 done and published before we leave. I've got a good outline going, some great plot twists, and a FANTASTIC ending to the book, which should lead into an awesome book 10, and the end of this part of the adventure.
Speaking of endings, my 10 year old is not on board with me ending the series at all. To him, it should be like Lamb Chop and "the song that never ends". I can't do that. I really do want to end it, and not entirely because I'm sick of putting pictures in books. Truly, I'm no artist, that part is the WORST for me!
That said, I can see doing a spin off, there are quite a few people you haven't met yet, heck, I haven't even met them yet, but they are important, and you'll learn more about that in book 10. So, while this part of things will wrap up nicely, there might be more to come, sort of a "World of The World Keepers" kind of way, if that makes sense.
I'll keep you posted! Have a Happy Easter!
