It's here! It's finally here! In the words of my 11 year old, "Yesss!" (add a fist pump, and you've got the idea)
I finished up the drawings last night, and spent the first part of the morning getting everything uploaded. I also ordered book 10 for myself (in paperback) so I could send it along to camp with my oldest. I can't tell if I like having to pay for the book or if I think it's a waste, so I'm going to go with liking it, because really it's cool to see them on his shelf, next to all of his Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Minecraft books.
If you don't know what's happening in this book, let me give you a little idea....
In book 9, we left our young heros as they fought for their lives aboard a sinking ship. Andrew had provided them each with a beacon, but as the ship tossed and turned in the tempest, most of the beacons, and most of the kids, went overboard.
Dirk, in the ultimate sacrifice, gave his beacon to Jed, allowing Jed, and only Jed, to wake from the game.
Jed wakes in water, unsure of where he is or how he got there, afraid, weak, and very confused. Despite these obstacles, he's got to get it together, and fast. He's going to meet new people, answer a lot of questions, and race the clock to beat The Man and The Company, once and for all. Oh, and he's got about 4 hours to get it done.
