It was our first time on that particular class of ship, and our first time in a family suite that included bunk beds, a huge panoramic window, and no balcony. The suite perks were varied and many, and I've written a separate blog post about that, which you can read here, but one suite perk that begs a deeper look was our ability to book accommodations at Barefoot Beach, including a Barefoot Beach - over the water cabana. So, to bring you up to speed: It's April 10th, 2020, my family is in quarantine and has been since March 14th (or something). I broke my arm severely the month before that, so I've been home without fail for more than two months, with a few exceptions for visits to my orthopedic surgeon. Basically, I haven't been able to get a haircut in a long time and I have no idea when I'll be able to again, so I did it myself. I did a quick search for "How to cut curly hair at home" after hearing about it from my niece, then I made it happen. Here's how it went, and how you can do it yourself, too. (read more)

We wanted to get the most out of our 3 park days, so we planned on doing a few tours to maximize the hours we had in each park. Neither one of us had ever done Disney After Hours, but with my Annual Pass expiring in May, I decided to grab a couple of tickets at a discount and see if this three hour Disney offering was all it was cracked up to be. Whether your "I do's" turned into "I don't", or your best friend went astray, there could be tons of reasons you got a finger tattoo and now want to have it removed. Before you go spend hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars on finger tattoo removal after your finger tattoo regret, read this post. My sister was kind enough to give me the low down on her quest to remove a Celtic Knot from her ring finger. She's sharing the information so you can (hopefully) share less of your money in a bid to eradicate your own ill-loved ink. (read more)

Apparently there are loads of adults who hate bubbles and wish that kids wouldn't bring them into the parks. Apparently there are also a lot of adults who wish that there were no kids at Disney, period. I get it, (sort of) walking through bubbles can make a mess, and it's frustrating if you get bubbles in your drinks or on your food. (I did this, on accident, to my friend, Jenny, she wasn't amused). I even got yelled at by a lady at Epcot last week because she had many feelings about my blowing bubbles around World Showcase. I didn't even have my kids with me. (I love the bubbles). But, if you've got a wand that isn't working, I'm hoping I can help you fix it so you can bring it back into the park and enjoy the fun. (read more)

We've been there before, I think about two years ago, but this box included a lot of things we hadn't had before, and a lot of things we'd had, and loved. Here's what will come in your Super Yum box, but note that it might be different if you get the Yum Box or the Yum Yum Box. (read more)

It's one thing to apply brow pencil each day, knowing you can wash it away at night, but something else entirely to open your skin, deposit color, and let that skin heal over. This is especially daunting if you're totally tattoo-less, like me. In this post I'm going to talk about my decision to microblade my brows, from doing my research to getting it done. You'll even get to join me for the procedure itself! (read more)

First of all, I am not a travel agent of any sort. I don't write this to sway you, far from it. More like I've written it to help myself decide where Mom and I are going next year. Second, this post does contain affiliate links, meaning, if you decide to grab a personalized Touring Plan from the link I provide, or you book through Get Away Today using my link, I get a small bonus, but it costs you nothing extra. Same goes if you look through my Amazon store front for things, like the stuff I have on my "Top Ten Disney Packing List" post. Other than that, I am what I appear to be, a mom who loves Disney and is totally torn on which Disney I like better. Hopefully this post helps you figure it out, if you're in the same boat. Ever since I decided to stop getting connecting rooms for our group of four on our cruises, I've been on the lookout for great rooms that give us a lot of space, but don't break the bank. Explorer of the Seas cabin 1804 lives up to this promise, and then some. Today I'm going to go in-depth in my review of not only the room, but also of the amenities that came with staying in a suite. We unpack once, travel all over, have tons of things to do onboard, and, if we're not taking a TransAtlantic crossing, we get to visit some amazing places with their own amazing offerings. This last cruise, we didn't have anything booked in the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao), but the night before we docked in Bonaire, we looked through the excursions one last time and decided to grab something very last minute.
