Ty The Hunter was born in Banbury, England. Being part of a military family meant moving around quite a lot, but eventually she settled in Houston, Texas, where she attended university. She still lives in Houston today, with her husband, two sons, two German Shepherds and a Cockatiel.
Having been a stay at home mom for 11 years, Ty has tried her hand at a few part time jobs but has always found herself happiest when she was writing. She has now completed 12 books in her The World Keepers series, as well as a rhyming new reader book for Minecraft lovers. And she has no plans to stop any time soon.
In her spare time, away from writing, Ty is an avid quilter and spends hours designing and creating entire king size quilts. She also enjoys reading, going to the movies, traveling and is a huge fan of the Great British Bake Off.
Probably growing up on various military bases was the reason that Ty became so fond of travel. In 15 years, she moved 30 times and did a mammoth road trip from Massachusetts to California. With her entire family crammed into a mini-van, it did nothing to dampen that enthusiasm. Nowadays, however, the travel is a bit more sedate and cruising with Royal Caribbean is more to her taste.
In the future Ty intends to continue writing and keep aiming higher, developing her craft and helping millions of people have a reason to curl up on the couch with a good book.
